How do I prepare my child for their first dental visit?

Many adults have a fear of the dentist that started in their own childhood and our goal is to never let your child develop this fear. In order to do this, we ask that you do not tell your child scary stories about the dentist or treat the dental appointment as a punishment or something to be dreaded. Children that have not developed a fear of the dentist are very cooperative and often make excellent, well-behaved patients.
